Most tourists only visit what we locals call the Golden Triangle, which consists of only a small area of Bruges within the ramparts dating back to 1297, that is listed as Unesco World Heritage site and has kept its medieval feel due to the almost unchanged street pattern. Of course it will take more than a day to discover all corners of this fascinating city, but on this tour you will go beyond the tourist trampled streets, and also see areas we locals cherish. Bruges is not only the bustling busy tourist centre, it has a quiet side, that is just as charming, just as old, and just as authentic. Let me show you the green and tranquil part of Bruges, with its beautiful churches, its whitewashed stepped gabled houses, its canals and bridges, and help you imagine the life ages ago on these cobble stone streets. Let me then immerse you in the bustling side of Bruges where you will stand in awe of the architecture built over the ages to show off Bruges’ wealth and to impress its visitors. This walk offers you the best of ‘both Bruges’.

Generally my tours take two hours walking through the city. The start, end and route of the tour can be customized to your needs and wishes. We can for instance pick you up at your hotel, the train station, your breakfast or lunch place. Each walk can be extented if desired and sites you really do not want to miss can be included. Each walk can be further personalized according to your interest and background knowledge without any extra charge, making each tour a unique and personal experience.

As a local of Bruges I know all the ins and outs of the city. Visiting Bruges should feel like visiting a friends hometown knowing there is someone to answer all your questions, be them historical or practical. I will be more than happy to advise you and to answer any questions you may have about your stay in the city.
